I have been inspired by the patterns that flocks of birds create and the freedom they possess. I regard them as free spirited creatures who have an ability like no other species on the planet and that is to fly.
Use of delicate and sensitive fabrics combined with print and embroidery has lead the concept behind my work to develop into providing a sense of fragility, freedom and movement.
I have created a sense of depth through the use of space and air along with subtle embroidery.

A limited, yet soft colour palette has been used in order to emphasise the understated and calming theme throughout my work.
