My work is an amalgamation of what I see. Inspiration comes from drawing repetitive architectural details, such as windows, aerials, chimneys and railings, thoughtfully selecting features to create forms and patterns. My aim was to produce something small that could be held in the hand, these interactive ornaments actually function as bells. Using the adaptability of clay I have created my own more colourful and cheerful world. I use various ceramic techniques to put images onto the bells and create decoration. I find it exciting to combine different media and also use silver wire to create extra detail.
I see this collection as three-dimensional illustration combining my love of drawing with a more tactile outcome.
