Mechanical millinery is a concept that runs throughout my work. With the addition and use of simple mechanisms it is possible to transform the body of hand-blocked hats to uncover disguised function. Colour and texture are very important to the feel of my collection and using fabric and components found in second-hand shops is no accident. Each part of each hat is carefully selected creating a nostalgic charm, a feeling that harks back to a bygone era.
