My ceramic ware combines functionality, fun and decoration. I use simple forms with worked surfaces.
Using my illustrative style I hope to bring a smile to people’s faces with the characters which have been scraffito or transferred on to my work. I love people watching and take inspiration from the people around me. I draw to create or preserve a character which has caught my eye.
Traditional folk ceramics is a big influence on my work and I have used red terracotta clay as it is often underestimated clay. My collection is distinctly handmade and unique; finger marks are unconcealed and celebrated even.
