My work is entitled "The Strength in Nature". The theme and inspiration for my work has been taken from my love of nature and botanical plant drawing. The plants have various structures, shapes, textures, visual rhythm, shadows and marks such as lines and dots which fascinate me. Colour relationships and surface patterns are the important part within my work. The subtle colours on linear drawings control the whole outcome as well as the creativity of thread effects offer a very subtle feel. The collection has been produce for a wide range of contemporary interior design. Mixtures of interesting processes have been involved such as stitch, screen-print, digital print and dyeing on a variety of fabrics, wallpapers and rugs.
