My jewellery and wall pieces reflect my love of illustration. The built environment, with its varied skylines, repeating patterns, windows and doorways provides the inspiration for the majority of my degree work. My jewellery features tiny detailed scenes that draw in the viewer and demand a closer look.
I work with veneered wood and a variety of metals, including silver. The contrast between the metals and wood is an important element in my work.
The personal series of silver bangles entitled ‘life keys’ have the aesthetic of caretakers’ keys on a large ring, but in place of some of the keys the bangles display trinkets that are unique to the wearer.
